About the Daily Guide

The Daily Guide is written by Pastor Simon Measures. It first came into being in the mid 1990s as a daily devotional message to encouragement, build up and exhort the congregation of Harvest Field Church, Cheltenham. Initially it was in monthly booklet form with the title "Word For Today". Soon people were passing it on to friends and acquaintances.

As soon as the Teaching Pages web site was built in 1997 the Daily Guide was included on it as a fresh message available each day. In 1999 Pastor Simon started accepting subscribers to receive the Daily Guide by email. The Daily Guide continues to be sent out on each weekday to subscribers worldwide. The Daily Guide can be read online both on the Teaching Pages web site and on the sister web site The Virtual Church.
