Recently, after demands on my budget changed, I found myself struggling to buy groceries. In all of this God provided faithfully and I ate every day. However, I started to get dissatisfied with this kind of existence since I had a strong awareness that God had promised His people that they would eat the good of the land.
Finally, I determined one morning that things had to change. I stood in front of my fridge-freezer and began speaking God's Word over it. I spoke scriptures about how God satisfies our mouths with good things and how He will cause the tither's storehouses to be full to overflowing. (Prov.13:2; 3:10.)
As I was declaring this, the phone went. It was a friend who, in prayer, had seen a picture of an empty fridge and had the strong impression it was my fridge. My friend was ringing to let me know a cheque for me was in the post!
Praise God, that fridge-freezer of mine was soon filled to overflowing. God is faithful to His Word, He's promised He'd prepare a banquet table before His people in the presence of their enemies. (Psalm 23:5.)
