I used to tolerate a certain level of fear and anxiety in my life. I thought it was alright to have "butterflies in my tummy" about circumstances in my life. It's not! I was unwittingly giving the devil opportunity to funnel failure and defeat into my life. Only faith succeeds.

You can't have faith and fear at the same time. You need faith - it connects you with the things of God. One man in the Bible was given news that would have normally produced fear in him but Jesus spoke against the fear so he could remain in faith and receive his miracle -

While He (Jesus) was still speaking, someone came from from the ruler (Jairus) of the synagogue's house, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher. But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she (Jairus' daughter) will be made well."

Luke 8:49-50 - NKJV

You have to resist fear. Fear has to be rejected and ejected! The devil uses fear to make a connection with you and bring bad into your life. God uses your faith to bring good into your life. Job feared and lost his children. He reported afterwards,

For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.

Job 3:25 - NKJV

Jairus believed and saw his daughter delivered to him alive! Accompanied by Jesus he arrived back at his house in faith and we read,

He (Jesus) put them (the scoffers) all outside, took her (Jairus' daughter) by the hand and called, saying, "Little girl, arise." Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately.

Luke 8:54-55 - NKJV

Oppose fear in the Name of Jesus! May the power and love of the Holy Spirit cast fear out of your life.
