W e were so far gone when Jesus found us that it took Father, Son and Holy Spirit working in unison to see to bringing us back to the family of God.

For His part, the Holy Spirit drew us to Jesus and at the moment we received the Son the Holy Spirit washed us with the washing of regeneration that made us sons and daughters of God. (Titus 3:4-6.) Now as sons and daughters of God the Holy Spirit enables us to respond as children of our Father in Heaven.

God saw us as His children and sent His Spirit into our lives producing within us the blissful cry, "Dad, Father!" Paul in his letter to the Galatians wrote,

"When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons, and because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father! Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Galatians 4:6-7 - NKJV

Respond to God as your loving Father and, by the Holy Spirit that is given to you, cry out to Him, "Dad, Father!" Don't let another day go by without calling God your Father. Approach Him today as a child brought into right standing with Him by His Son Jesus. Speak to Him as Dad - this is what the word "Abba" means.

Are you now grasping what has happened to you since receiving Jesus? You should now have a strong realisation that you are no longer merely the son or daughter of a flesh and blood father. You are a child of God and His heir - an heir of Almighty God who brought into being all things by His Son, Jesus!

"Give thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light." Colossians 1:12 - NKJV

All this being so, the time has arrived for you to start taking on an outward expression that matches the inner nature that is now yours - your child of God nature! Begin putting on who you are in Christ! Begin today walking in newness of life! Start walking, talking and thinking as a child of God!
