Our Testimony

W e - my wife, Ruth, and I - have seen the power of the words clearly at work in our own lives.

In 1991 inspired preaching caused us to see that God wanted to bless us financially just as He had already done in so many other areas of our lives.

We brought this to Him in prayer, asking to be blessed as He desired to bless us. We believed we received when we prayed. We counted it done. We walked on from there believing we had received. (Mark 11:24.)

Besides this we continued to diligently tithe and we started to give like a farmer sows a seed. However, months passed and nothing seemed to come up - no harvest, no physical manifestation of financial increase in our lives.

I took this to the Lord in prayer and asked Him why we weren't yet seeing increase. His reply came very simply and very gently. He said, "What about all the times you say to people, We can't afford it! This is what you are saying in the Earth while in Heaven you are saying, My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:19.

I received correction! I prayed, "Forgive me, Lord. From this moment forwards I will not say again, We can't afford it. Teach me to line up everything I say with the Truth."

This was the turning point in our lives financially. I began to make my words agree with God's Word and with what I had prayed for in faith. It was not long after this that Ruth and I saw our material affairs beginning to prosper.

What are you doing about your words? Think about it! Do you speak words that contradict God's Word or agree with it? Is your tongue directing the course of your life on a heading towards having or away from it?

If you've prayed in faith for freedom from fear, check you're not still saying, "I'm afraid." If you've prayed in faith for healing, check you're not still saying, "I have this sickness."
