Matthew 11:28-30 - The Message Translation

What an invitation! Jesus Christ says to you, "Come to me!" God has been calling like this to mankind from the Beginning. On that wonderful day when you got saved you responded to that call. You accepted Jesus as your Saviour. You came to Him and received salvation. The Bible says, "You have come to Mount Zion and to Jesus the Mediator of the New Covenant." Heb.12:22-24

How are the every day conditions of your life right now? Jesus wants you to come to Him and find rest. You came to Jesus in spirit and you gave Him your heart. Now He wants you to come to Him with your soul and find rest of soul. Maybe you've been walking at a distance from Him unaware of His presence and His power. If you have you will have been feeling the strain! Change that. Turn to Him in prayer. Draw close to Him. Linger with Him. Listen to Him as He tells you how to live freely and lightly.

You don't have to make it on your own! Jesus says, "Come to me!" Leave that position where you're getting worn out and move over to Jesus to keep company with Him. In Jesus' company you will recover your life. Every day choose to have some special time in the company of Jesus. It will change your life. You'll start learning to live freely and lightly. You'll learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

Come, today, to Jesus!
