Rejoice in the Lord
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, "The Lord be magnified!"
Psalm 40:17 - NKJV
Be glad in the Lord! Every day have those moments when you remember His benefits towards you. Let those moments stir you to gratitude so you praise Him for what He's done in your life. A good way of doing this is to open your Bible to Psalm 103. Then follow along with David as he says, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me!" You'll be joining David in his words as, firstly, he commands his soul not to be forgetful of the Lord's blessings and then he declares some of the most special of those blessings. Accompany David in blessing God for all His blessings towards you.
You don't have to be quiet about your gladness. God enjoys hearing a noisy outpouring of praise! Is.6:1-4. Let go of any cultural or family reserve and praise with abandonment. Lift up you hands high and praise God with joyful lips. Psa.63:3-5. If your heart and feet move you go ahead and dance your praise to Him. Psa.150:4. Drop any doctrine you may have received along the lines of always offering quiet reverence to God. God's people praise Him wildly when they are moving on with Jesus to an ever greater participation in His victory! 2 Sam.6:16,20-23.
Count your blessings! Start enumerating your blessings back to God. Revel in the Lord for all His goodness and mercy towards you. Open your mouth wide and respond vocally to the overflow of joy you experience at the realisation of how good God is to you. Praise God with joyful lips. Psa.63:5.
Give voice to God's praises
