A time for salvation
Such prayer is a lovely thing. It is the kind of prayer that God our Saviour wants to hear, for he wants all men to be saved and to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 - Barclay's translation
This could be it - the season in which your loved one is saved! Many at this time are in the valley of decision over which way to go and over what to believe. As the end of the age draws near the flow of people into God's kingdom is increasing. The time is coming when many who have sat on the sidelines observing those entering the Kingdom will get up themselves and enter in. Maybe that loved one you've been praying for is closer to the Kingdom than you think! Persevere in prayer. Luk.18:1, Joel 3:14.
Your prayers make available the grace that will usher your loved one into salvation. Your loved one needs you to keep giving thanks on his or her behalf, to keep petitioning God and interceding for him or her. Your prayers clear the spiritual atmosphere and help remove any blindness to the Gospel. Besides this continue in your faith walk! It is a resounding testimony to the grace and power of God. It has more of an impact on people than you realise. You who are wives especially; your conduct in Christ can win your husband's heart to Jesus! 1Tim.2:1, 1Pet.3:1.
Shine with the light you have in Christ and it will guide people's ships of life into God's haven where they'll be safe from the storm. You are to be like a welcoming lighthouse at the end of a long ship journey. I believe many a loved one who has been living without Christ is now ready to find port in God's kingdom. Mat.5:16.
May your loved one be saved!
