I'm not going to be moved!

by Pastor Simon

We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.

2 Chronicles 20:12 - NKJV

Jehoshaphat spoke to the Lord in prayer those words above. Those words reveal the secret of not being moved by a bad report. It seems some people love to share a bad report. They seem to take pleasure in seeing others shaken. A lot of times those reports turn out to be wholly exaggerated. As it happened the report coming into Jehoshaphat was not exaggerated but he was not shaken. Jehoshaphat countered his reaction to the earthly scene by turning his eyes to view the Lord in Heaven! Heb.12:1-2.

Jehoshaphat feared when men brought news to him of great armies marching against him. However, at that moment of fear, he stopped everything and turned to the Lord. He refused to go with his fear and instead he sought the Lord. He refused to consider any further the armies bearing down on him instead he considered the Lord arising to save him. The bad report that would have shaken many as a result failed to move Jehoshaphat. He was seeing what God was able and willing to do for him. He saw the Lord his defence and his deliver! Psa.18:18-19.

Are you doing as Jehoshaphat did? You don't have to be moved by what you see. Stop yourself at that moment of fear! Turn to the Lord! Seek Him until your eyes are upon Him! God promises He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is fixed on Him. The perfect love you will know as you see the face of Jesus shining on you casts out fear and settles you down in peace! Isa.26:3, Num.6:24-26.

See Jesus and your deliverance!
