Class 2: Walk as the King's Child

Since you received Jesus you've had an inner witness about yourself that needs confirming. You need to know God's Word says you are God's child!
In the Gospel of John chapter one we are instructed,
As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even, to those who believe in His name: who were born...of God.
John 1:12,13 - NKJV
This Bible verse explains that the privilege of being God's child has come to those who have received Jesus. This is God's word to you that, as someone who has received Jesus, you are a child of God. This scripture tells you that because you've received Jesus you've been brought into sonship - sonship to the Father in Heaven!
In the epistle to the Romans Paul declares,
You have received the Spirit of adoption (sonship) by whom we cry out, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:15 - NKJV
It is a new birth that took place on your acceptance of Jesus. You were born again, born of God, new born as God's child! In his first epistle Peter by the Holy Spirit writes,
You having been born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides for ever.
1 Peter 1:23 - NKJV
The Word of God, Jesus, came into your heart at your acceptance of Him. He came in as the Seed that brought new life to you - new life as a child of God! Jesus is the Word of God. This is the Gospel of John's first revelation to us,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1,14 - NKJV
You were born again by an imperishable seed and that Seed was Jesus the Word of God. An awesome spiritual event took place when you received Jesus that is wonderfully illustrated for us by the event in the physical world of sperm entering the womb and a child coming into being as a result.
You have been born again, not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.
